When to get a first doddledo?

Coco is about 4.5 months old and such a cutie.  This is an amazing website and it make it so much easier for a noob like me to learn how to take care of my puppy from day 1.

Question is we are getting warmer and warmer here in Dallas, when should I take her for a hair cut or should I wait til her adult coat start?  Many thanks in advance.

KoKo had her first cut at 5 months.  She has an appointment for the first week in April and I think I will just have a sanitary cut, trim around her eyes, bath and nails clipped.  I love her longer fur look so will skip that part this time around.  She can have the short cut for the warm weather (that may never get here).  Maggie was cut at six months and goes every five to six weeks.  She has a really tight curly coat that mats easily so I keep her coat short. She really needs the bath at that time too.
