Where Does Your Doodle Sleep?

We'd love to have Banjo up on our bed but he wants nothing to do with that, preferring the hard wood floor and sometimes  the chair nearby.  Not much space to stretch out in the chair though....so maybe that's why he spends most of the night on the floor.

So, feeling sorry for him....just the sound of those bones hitting the wood floor every time he repositioned himself during the night was enough to make me feel sorry for him.....I went out and found a nice big, plump, soft bed that he could really stretch out on.  I placed it on the floor right next to the chair, in the spot he typically slept on.

Well, it seems that it is the floor he prefers after all......THIS is where he spends most of the night.

In the little triangle of space BETWEEN the chair and his bed!

He does use his bed during the day when I'm showering or tidying up the bedroom.   Silly dog!

Quincy divides his time between our bed and the floor but seems to prefer the floor most of the time. I too feel bad about him sleeping on the hard floor but he totally ignores the two comfy beds I bought for him. Carol be careful what you wish for, Quincy takes up an enormous amount of room in the bed and he usually makes himself comfortable right across the bottom third of the bed, so if you want to straighten your legs you are out of luck.

Thank God my sweet little Rua sleeps with me all night in my king size bed.  As of 10/22/11, my DH doesn't sleep with me anymore (jerk, oops, did I say that out loud), so I am blessed that she is there for me.

Rua....You're such a sweetie....I just know Banjo would to have you as a baby sister!    Dori......I think if we could we'd ALL shout a collective DK   "JERK"  with  you!

OMD, Banjo is soooo adorable!  My male Guinness sleeps stretched full out smooshed up against me most of the night, usually with his head resting on me.  He is kind of attached to me to say the least.  His sister Molly usually sleeps under the bed but if she decides she wants Guinness's spot she just jumps up and lays on top of him until he moves, lol.

Everytime I look at Banjo, I see a bigger Rua.  Makes me smile!  I love Banjo!

In her crate in the living room.  I have a soft fleece pink (of course) blankie for her but she prefers the hard plastic bottom..go figure

Ember did sleep in her crate until she was just about five months, and now has full reign of the bedroom.... and like Hattie, sleeps on the bed and is a HOT doodle! Sometimes she starts panting in the middle of the night but will NOT jump off! She also doesn't snuggle up until the morning when I'm starting to wake up.

My Chloe is the same way..prefers the floor. I tried a kennel, a soft dog bed, and of course she is welcome on our bed..but no, its the bathroom floor! Although, now that its gotten cooler, I have noticed her sleeping in the dog bed that we put in the bathroom near where she lays, but she has outgrown that one, so now have to get a bigger one! = )

The only time she sleeps on the bed, is the mornings after my DH leaves for work, she and my golden get up on the bed and snuggle with me untill I get up, which I LOVE! I work nights so I sleep til 9, sometimes 10:00 am and they both stay there with me till I wake up!

I have one that sleeps on the bed and one that moves between a chair, the bed, and the hardwood floor.  I think the hardwood is cooler than the bed. They are both on the bed by morning...and there is not much room for a human.

Sophie starts out on the bed for about 2 mins and jumps down and lays on the hardwood floor. I bought her a huge pillow and sometimes she puts her head on it but not often. My DH gets up at 3 am to get ready for work and once he is out of the room she jumps back in bed with me. Its funny because on my DH's days off she still waits for him to get up before she jumps back in bed. We have a queen bed, I would love a king!
