I need a good whitening shampoo for stains and the coat

You might want to try Chris Christenson's White on White shampoo, it adds white pigment to the hair instead of bleaching it & is supposed to make the hair look brighter. Meg (Murphy's Mom) used it to remove orange dye from her doodle's coat (Halloween + kids = orange doodle! LOL) & it helped so she didn't have to shave him down.

Cowboy magic is a great brand too for getting stains out. It's made for horses, but I think they sell it at petsmart.

Cow Boy Magic can be found at feed type pet stores stores. I haven't ever seen it at chain pet (i,e, dog/dat/bird/hampster/fish) stores.
