Who has used our new advanced member search feature?

We have a new feature on doodlekisses that has actually been up for a several weeks, but I never announced it. Has anybody noticed the new advanced member search feature?

In the past when you went to the Members page there was a generic search box above the photos of all members. Now next to that generic search box there is a button labeled "advanced member search" -- if you click on that you will get more options for searching out members including a location search function. Please note that only the locations that people have typed in are listed.

I have used a couple of times, I like it.The person I was looking for popped right up.

I just tried it by typing in my town and state. guess what - I'm not there. Oh well.

That's strange--if I type in riverside, I get you and another member. If I'd type in Riverside, California I find you. Sometimes these search functions are very temperamental and depending on how you spell something or if you use capital letters or if you put in a comma you will get different results.

I wondered if it recognizes the requestor? and doesn't give you yourself? I don't think I used caps or maybe not even a comma. Well I will certainly play with it. I like your new picture but I have to keep checking your name to see who it is.

I know what you mean!!--every time a member changes their profile photo they turn into a new member for me and I have to relearn who they are...LOL.

I look for my town and found myself. I think the key is to use as few words as possible. Capital letters doesn't seem to matter. I live in college place but I only search for the word college. So instead of using riverside and California in the search, just try riverside. You should find Brian Stui's dad
