We just found this worm on our GD pup's paw. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks.

Annabelles looked like cooked spaghetti, but only 2 or 3 inches long..

If you want to be creeped out by worm stories look up "pinworms"... one of the students in my daughter's kindergarten class had those so we looked them up (to our horror).

I also think it's really unlikely you'd see one outside the body anywhere but the feces.  Some of the parasitic worms can get quite large though and you would see them for sure, others are microscopic. Luna had whipworms once as a puppy, didn't see the worms but her poop was just generally "slimy" and super gross.

I don't need to look up pinworms, lol. I had them more than once as a child (I bit my fingernails, which combined with dirty hands....) and my daughter had them as well. Very, very common in kids.

Looks like an earthworm or red worm to me.  My compost is full of them and the dogs love to dig and occasionally get a worm digging in the gopher holes.  The robins also really love these worms and sometimes there are over 30 robins on our yard eating worms.  Earthworms are usually close to the surface but the red worms go down into the soil.

Looks like an earthworm segment.

I think I see the crop (thickened) part of an earthworm, with the "head" portion partly removed.  My experience w/ tapeworms in cats was I would find wriggly rice size segments around their anus, and a powdery white substance which I believe to be discharged eggs.  Don't know about all round worms, but pin worms climb outside the anus nocturnally, causing discomfort.
