Just got this article sent through Dogster:  http://blogs.dogster.com/living-with-dogs/simone-reyes-talks-to-us-... and it reminded me of a discussion we had in yappy hour on Friday.  A number of us were on chat trying to convince Dori that she needed to get a Rua tattoo to mark the beginning of  the next chapter of her life.  (Hmmmm maybe the new KangaRua logo??)  Mind you it was easy for us liquor soaked cheerleaders to urge her on ;)  I recall someone on DK (can't remember who) has paw prints tattooed on her ankle or foot.  So what do you think DKers - to tattoo or not to tattoo - that is the question!

Dori is going to have full sleeves before we know it LOL!  Imagine, she could get all the pictues of the DK doodles until her arms are fully covered.  THAT would be fun!!

Clink!!!

If the inks contain iron I would think that could be a problem, something else to consider.

I know some people who have tattoos around their ring fingers, because they can't wear their wedding rings at work (mechanics, etc.).  A girl I work with and her husband both have them.  He's a mechanic, and she's an accountant.  Her ring tattoo was shown a lot when she was pregnant, because her fingers were so swollen that she eventually had to take her wedding ring off.  She has quite a few tattoos, but none of them are visible in our regular work attire.

I have an angel on my shoulder.  I did it in a mad fit when I was 40!  It's one I drew myself.  I actually forget about it but you have just reminded me of it. ( I try not to look in the mirror too much naked)  A paw print sounds good to me though where I would put it, maybe on the inside of my wrist?.....thinking of the pain though....maybe not.

I had a friend years ago (she has since moved away, and we lost touch) who had a small, tasteful tattoo of a dolphin on the inside heel of her foot (on the side, not the bottom of her foot). You could see it when she wore sandals.

She had to have it re-done every so often, she said, because the skin on your heel exfoliates very frequently.

It always seemed to me that that was a great location, if you weren't sure about a life-long commitment. For those more knowledgeable than I about tattoos, does that make sense?

I am not a tattoo person, but I celebrate anyone's right to tattoo whatever they desire on their bodies. And Dori - if you do it, I def hope you post pictures!!

I knew I had seen the paw print tattoo on here somewhere -- here it is!

Oh yes, I remember that one too now.  But the picture I was thinking of was a doodle sitting beside its mom and mom was wearing flip flops and the paw prints were on her foot.

I used to know a lady who had paw prints on her belly. She was a personal trainer and fit as can be but having babies caused her really bad stretch marks so no matter how fit she was there were always those marks. She did the paw prints on her belly to try and spruce up the area. I don't remember what it looked like though, but I thought it was a cute idea.

Love this one!
