Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Frequently I read posts where people say how Nature’s Miracle is one of the best products out there.  In anticipation of moving into a new house with a ton of carpet, I went out and purchased a bottle of my very own.  I used it a couple of times in my temporary housing apartments to clean up some doodle vomit and it didn’t seem like anything special.  Then we moved into the house and I had to use it on more vomit and I decided that regular old carpet cleaning spray seemed to do a better job on the stain, yet I continued to see people mentioning Nature’s Miracle in their posts.  Today I got home from work and found a nice bile stain in the middle of my hallway carpet.  I figured I would give that Nature’s Miracle one more try.  I dabbed at the spot and then sprayed the Nature’s Miracle and it didn’t do anything.  I sat there grumbling to myself and finally sat back and read the back of the bottle to see if I was using it wrong.  Oh boy, was I ever!!

Here is what the bottle said to do:  “Spray coat generously and evenly.  Brush through coat.  Avoid contact with eyes.  Use as needed.”  I was soooo confused.  I turned the bottle over and really looked at the front, which apparently I didn’t do when I bought it because here is what I have:

A quick trip to Petco and I purchased the right product.  I came home armed with a bottle of the lemon scented variety and the one made especially for wood floors which was a very smart decision because I came home to a few big puddles of bile and wet doodle paw prints all over the whole first floor.  Wonder if they make a product to remove that vomit smell from their paws.

I still feel like an idiot for trying to use a shampoo to clean my carpets and floors.  Please tell me that some of you have done something this “brilliant” before.

a SIGN OF AGE?!?!?  I'm only in my 3's!!

The most "brilliant" thing that I have I think was when I first started gardening.  My DH asked me to spread lime on the vegetable garden prior to planting.  I scooped the powder from a sack in a dark basement closet without checking.  It looked a little gray.  He checked behing me and found out it was the bag of cement that I had used.  Anyway, nothing was hurt and the garden was good that year.

lol I'm glad your garden was ok though.

That may be a great new tip. In fact you did lime the garden.

Cement is a fine, soft, powdery-type substance. It is made from a mixture of elements that are found in natural materials such as limestone, clay, sand and/or shale. When cement is mixed with water, it can bind sand and gravel into a hard, solid mass called concrete.

Cement can be purchased from most building supply stores in bags

I know, F.  I was a secretary at a ready-mix concrete company at the time.  : )

Whoops, funny.

When I was about 12 and feeling really grown-up after fixing my hair all by myself, I decided to spritz it with hair spray so my elaborate style would hold.  After spraying white foam all over my head, I read the can - it was a cleaner called Jet Spray Bonami.  My mom had been cleaning the sink and ......

Then there was the time I put hand soap all over myself thinking it was lotion. Very sticky...

Need I say more?

So you must have had some really clean hair that day!

Really clean and really limp and wet!
