Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Frequently I read posts where people say how Nature’s Miracle is one of the best products out there. In anticipation of moving into a new house with a ton of carpet, I went out and purchased a bottle of my very own. I used it a couple of times in my temporary housing apartments to clean up some doodle vomit and it didn’t seem like anything special. Then we moved into the house and I had to use it on more vomit and I decided that regular old carpet cleaning spray seemed to do a better job on the stain, yet I continued to see people mentioning Nature’s Miracle in their posts. Today I got home from work and found a nice bile stain in the middle of my hallway carpet. I figured I would give that Nature’s Miracle one more try. I dabbed at the spot and then sprayed the Nature’s Miracle and it didn’t do anything. I sat there grumbling to myself and finally sat back and read the back of the bottle to see if I was using it wrong. Oh boy, was I ever!!
Here is what the bottle said to do: “Spray coat generously and evenly. Brush through coat. Avoid contact with eyes. Use as needed.” I was soooo confused. I turned the bottle over and really looked at the front, which apparently I didn’t do when I bought it because here is what I have:
A quick trip to Petco and I purchased the right product. I came home armed with a bottle of the lemon scented variety and the one made especially for wood floors which was a very smart decision because I came home to a few big puddles of bile and wet doodle paw prints all over the whole first floor. Wonder if they make a product to remove that vomit smell from their paws.
I still feel like an idiot for trying to use a shampoo to clean my carpets and floors. Please tell me that some of you have done something this “brilliant” before.

Joanne, you get close enough to a skunk to try it and let us all know if it works, ok?
Donna that would have been terrible if it was hair removal cream!!
Amy - in your defense - could the lettering on that bottle be much smaller?
Other than that, I have two words for you: Spot Bot! a true life saver and no pet owner should be without one.
yeah, I have one but I haven't read the instructions yet. I wanted to clean it up immediately since I wasn't sure how long it had already been sitting there. That is my goal for the weekend though, to learn how to use it so that I'll be ready the next time.
should have read those instructions last night. Cubbie decided to puke up his kibble on my carpet at 6am this morning.
Amy, we have all done crazy things! You are just nice enough to admit yours, I staying quiet:)
Hilarious. I have never used the stuff but I have done some odd things with other items....no need to speculate, suffice to say duh comes to mind.
I bought a big bottle of Dove that was labelled DEEP MOISTURE . It was deep moisture all right, but it was liquid soap. So after getting out of the shower and lathering my legs with it, I realized my mistake and had to get back into the shower to get all the soap off...deceptive labeling Amy, that's what this is all about!
In addition to the label was the fact that Petsmart had it on one of those shelves at the end of the aisle right next to the cleaning products.
but in the mean time, has anyone tried the dog shampoo? sounds like a great idea?
I don't like the smell of it so i'm now going to spray it on my dogs. Maybe I'll give to to my SIL and see if she wants to try it. If they do, I'll let you know how it works.
So funny! I didn't know they made shampoo!
