Yellow goop coming from one eye

Hi all,
Every day we are typically having to pick the usual brown/black eye crud from Whoppers eyes. However, this morning I noticed from one eye a thicker yellow goop. Anyone experience this? Any recommendations on eye drops or what we could try? It isn't an excessive amount and only noticeable up close but I definitely want to resolve it for her. Her hair around her eyes is getting pretty long but I do not notice any stray hairs in her eyes or any scratches or anything. It's only one eye at this point so we hope to keep it from spreading if it is some sort of infection.

It might be nothing, or it might be in an infection in which case you'd need antibiotics. If it is still there or gets worse, might stop by the vet on Monday.

This happened with Bailey about a month ago after a trip for a bath. Thought at first it might have been soap that got into his eye as he had it closed. Next day there was yellow goop in the one so took him to the vet and yes it was an infection, He was put on an ointment that I had to keep in the fridge..name was BNP - H-Ooth ointment - 3.5 mg. Had to apply twice a day a small amount in the corner. It cleared up within 4 days and all is well.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't see any yellow goop this morning so I'll just continue to keep an eye on her.
