If you feed a good food...vitamin supplementation is not necessary(it is already fortified with vitamins/minerals). Similar to eating healthy for humans--but even easier with dogs because they don't eat Twinkies and McDonalds :-)

As far as yogurt--I've only used it in Kongs (froze it first) as a snack/activity.

Might want to join our Food Group to see if the supplement discussion has taken off yet.
I gave Ollie natural yoghurt from when he came home at 8 weeks. The breeder gave me a recipe which included it. I now give him a mixture of kibble, raw pet mince and a big dollop of either the yoghurt or cottage cheese. I add different grated veg for a bit of variety. Because of the kibble I don't need to add any vitamins as they are included with it (I buy Eagle Pack Holistic Select)
Thanks Sam,
I am feeding Molly Innova Puppy moistened and added a spoon of Wellness Canned but this only lasted for a week and now once again finicky. Someone mentioned adding a little yogurt natural no flavors and she seems to enjoy it and it does not cause her runny stools. I quit adding the canned Wellness. What is the raw pet mince you put in??? Thanks for the info.
I buy it from the supermarket (or the butchers). It is in the fridge section and it is literally mince - nothing else. I think pet mince is just lower quality than what we would have. It is in the same section as where they put the large sausage shape meat rolls for the dogs. (I am in Australia but I assume you guys have the same stuff). I started off softening the biscuits but we don't need to do that anymore - Ollie is now 18 weeks old. The breeder we bought Ollie from said only raw meats - not to bother with the canned stuff. We had some early runny stools (very early) but put that down to him having a different diet to at the breeders. We also give him raw chicken wings which he LOVES. You can grate all sorts of veg in but not peas, onion or corn (I don't know why its just what the breeder said) - broccoli, spinach, carrots, pumpkin - all raw. I have also started putting a little bit of V8 juice (just the veg, nothing added type) just to moisten it up (I read that on here somewhere....)
Hope this helps............. See ya Sam and Ollie
We put about a Tablespoon of plain yogurt in her food at night, she loves it ! I don't remember how old she was when we started ..............
