You Don't Have Blond Hair?
Anytime I do anything to my hair, including wash it, my toddler likes to ask me "do you have blond hair?" She's super articulate, knows her colors and should otherwise have figured out after the 56th time of asking this question, that NO, my hair is not blond. Nevertheless, she gets some sort of joy out of asking.
Sometime last year on DK, I remember seeing a photo of Toby's mom, Linda, and my first impression was "You DON'T have blond hair?" After associating her name on DK with her profile photo of her goldendoodle I just meshed the two together in my mind and assumed both she and her dog were blondies.
We discuss our joys and sorrows, house hunting, health issues, funny stories, and of course our love or our doodles. It feels like we know each other...but we rarely see each other's faces. I know that I am so used to seeing doggy profile photos that when I do see a photo of what the dog's owner looks like I'm surprised. I'm so used to seeing your dog face when I talk to you on DK I imagine YOU as a curly redhead too!
Your challenge, and I hope you'll accept it, is to change your profile photo to a picture of YOU! Yes, YOU: the human behind the doodle(s). Of course you are welcome to pose WITH your doodle, but let's see how many members we can get to know by face over the next week. And all you have to do is keep your NEW profile photo up for one week...if after that time you want to go back to just your doodle(s) that's totally cool.

Monty keeps me young, LOL. I'm not as young as you might think, though. Almost 40 in a couple of years, scary. But thank you, I do feel like I got stuck at 25 mentally. It's really great to see all the humans behind our doodles. It's kind of funny, but I got used to people recognizing Monty (at the vet, groomers, or in the dog park) without even knowing my name. I walked into our groomer's place this morning only to hear from the back room: "Monty is here!" And I'm completely fine with it.
Hey, I have two dogs....why aren't they keeping me young looking?? LOL You do not look anywhere near forty....good for you!!
I think it's the "two dog" formula. Watch me age in a hurry once we get the second pup. LOL!
So that's my problem : )
And how dare you call almost 40 not as young as it is : )
I feel so bad for her almost being 40! NOT!
Cause I remember saying high school seniors appeared old. Time sure flies.
Jarka! I remember thinking my sister was soooooo old when she turned 17! hahaha
I'm so old now I'm surprised I remember that. Or will I remember things that happened years ago and not have any short term memory? Yikes it's already happening!
She is a whippersnapper :)
Sorry, I don't know what that means. My English is not that good.
Don't tell Laurie I said this but it is generally a term used by OLD people when they are referring to YOUNG people. :) Sssssh!
Okay, here is a definition of a whippersnapper that I found. As always, thank you for educating me, Laurie.
What old people, generally your grandparents, call "youngsters". The word is derived from the term "snapping your whip" which means getting a b0n3r. So basically your granddad is calling you a whipper snapper because you can get it up and he can't. The term has been used less frequently since the development of Viagra.
