Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

So, as some of you may know we got Darwin from a back yard breeder, before we found DK and learned everything we know now. His mother was owned by the breeder, a golden retriever. The father, a standard white poodle was her friend's dog.

By the time we saw Darwin's litter (12 weeks) there were only three puppies left. Him and two other boys, but I know there were more than just 3 puppies in the litter. I want to know who his siblings are so bad! I would love to have a romp with them, or even just see what they grew up to look like. I'm pretty positive that they were all sold to locals, as she wasn't extremely legitimate and I doubt she advertised or shipped the puppies. I always keep an eye out for doodle owners, hoping that I will find a long lost sibling. :-)

His breeder is not involved at all, she never even responded to my e-mails when I used to send her photos of Darwin. So she's not an option for finding out where his siblings went. I realize that it's possible his siblings are long lost and we'll never find them, but my curiosity keeps me wondering. Any suggestions?

Do you know who your doodle's siblings are? Have you had romps with them? Do they look similar to your doodle or completely different? Post pictures if you have them!

Can't seem to edit today! The two pics above (supposed to be only ONE!) are of Rio and Rafi playing together--Rio is actually a few inches taller than Rafi, but you can't tell in this picture!
There is another doodle owner on this website that has a dog named Chip. We saw them in Petsmart doing some training. We knew it was a Doodle and when we started talking to them, Chip turned out to be Casey's brother!
We have also seen them at the Memorial Day Parade.

Our breeder doesn't ship but some she pups he told us about live a little far.
My suggestions, advertise or ask the owner of the standard poodle.
I've loved reading all of your responses, so thank you to those that have so far. I'm still hoping to run into a sibling of Darwin's at the pet store or dog park. That would be a blast!

Here are Murphy and Murphy, brother;s that flew in together from our breeder in Michigan. Me and my Murphy are on the right in this picture. Julianne and I met that day and have been good friends ever since. We only live about one mile from each other and the boys get together often and the have a ball together. It really has been such fun having the brothers be close and watching them grow up together, Our breeder keeps in touch with the other siblings and passes along information about them every now and then as well, This is them about a year later, my Murphy has stayed apricot and Julianne's got much whiter quickly. They have very similar faces and some of their traits are familiar. They are both sweet, healthy, loving doodles.

how fun that you see each other so regularly! Murphy is a lucky dood.
Sue this is sooooooooooooooooo cool and how awesome for all involved.

We don't know any of Rosey or Bandit's siblings...  But Darwin, Bandit said he would be your soul brother:)

Yay! Darwin is glad to have such a cool dood brother.

Here is a picture of Daisy's little sister BellaDaisy looked exactly like this at her age (that's her pacing in the background- haha)

Sorry for the poor quality but they just kept moving.

She's a beauty. Albus is amazing so it's not surprising.
Wow, she is gorgeous! Very furry. I'm partial to Albus' cute mug though. :-)
