Part of the reason I got a second doodle was to give Luca more exercise than I can. The two doodles do keep each other fit, I hope. This was especially good lately since  I my knee has been acting up. Any though on exercising doodles as we age?

We have a very large fenced in yard and my two doodles have a blast playing with each other out there.  I also have 2 friends with doodles and they have play dates out in the yard and exhaust themselves.  It is great and we are fortunate to have that for them.

Oh I'm too scared and nervous to confess it, but my Sheila is 1 and 1/2 now and I am officially on my breeders list for a litter just born two days ago.  I have always wanted 2 mini doodles but Sheila had some health issues and so did I.  This is the mom I've wanted FOREVER and she had 5 pups, usually she only has 4.   Since I have had a deposit down with breeder for some time, I knew I could call my breeder and get one of Chutney's pups, but I had to move fast.  I swear my breeder could sell an orangutang her litters extras (ones born over # of deposits taken) go out .so fast, all spoken for ahead of time!!!  So I called when 5th pup born and begged for it.  It will be Chutney's last litter, she is being retired.

Now I'm about peeing my pants I'm so scared, can I do a puppy again? will they play w/ each other? will it be too much work for this 57yr old.  DH will help, but he is nervous too.

Then I happened to see this group and joined it and read the emails and I feel SO MUCH BETTER.  We are empty nesters and I miss my kids sooooo much.  I have to get on an airplane to see either of them, so I am lonely.

Plus I feel guilty leaving She She alone when I go out.  I run errands for like 2 hrs and she goes to daycare twice a week.  But she has so much more energy, and fun in her than just I can give her.

ANd I read about the antics of two together here on DK and just laugh and laugh.  We have a niced fenced yard, 2 parks right by us and can handle it financially.

But I still need the encouragement.  It's more of an energy issue (my energy) than anything else. Will they siphon off each others energy and will I have the energy for the year or so it will take to whip together this mess!!!! Plus DH will kill me if this is a disaster.

HELP

We have the multiple doods and they do entertain each other. They also try to grab the attention from each other - especially Ned.   Lucky for me both of mine are lower energy.  They do not get walked daily at all and sometimes don't get walked for a week because it is no fun to walk our Springer anymore so if we can't get someone to take or watch Gordie, we can't take the other two.
I walk mine twice a day no matter what kind of weather we are having. I also take them out to the yard a lot and let them play and wrestle and tire each other out. When it is hot, they have far less energy, which I like :)

I am thinking about getting a dog powered scooter!  Looks like the dogs like it and I might like it too!  I have only seen them online.  Has anyone seen/used one?
