Hi Terrri:

I promise - if you keep working with Cooper - he will become more and more confident. If Cooper is shy - have your husband laugh it off - it will NOT last forever and if you folks are light about it - he will pick that up and getter more comfortable. Koji was definitely as one trainer put it - a 'reserved' dog. Now - he is quite different, but every now and then, his inner shyness shows. Maybe one of these months we will have a Doodle romp and we wil all meet.

Hey Sue - Koji and Daisy are just 3 months apart! These doodles are so incredible. 44 lbs - that is a perfect size. Koji is much taller than I expected but he doesn't weight all that much he is 65 lbs. He definitly has more of the Poodle frame.

Hi, We bought our Daisy from Gleneden last November. She was born August 07. We just enjoy her so much. She is so sweet and loyal. She is a miniture Goldendoodle but weighs 44 pounds!
Glad to see that Judy is help Koji.

Nancy, glad to hear Judy is working with you regarding Koji, she seems like a very reliable nice person. We were pleased with our buying experience with her. Especially given our state of mind so soon after our accident. Cooper is still going more than normal even on the new natural food and he is continuing to eat it, which we have tried to deter with ForBid two different times and even after the recommended dose, he still eats it - YUCK! Hopefully, these are just puppy issues, since he is only 7+ months. Please let me know if you here anything back from Judy. I would love to know if anyone has found a solution for ear infections. I will also look into the rabies shot...actually not sure if he had it yet. I think he may have. Thanks for all your help and support, it's great to have others to talk to . We are also woring with the shyness like you suggested. My poor husband just gets so frustrated with him, when he is afraid to go out with him:(

I feel better - GlenEden sent me an e-mail - very nice and said she would check with Judy to see if any of Koji's litter had similar problems - and if they found a regimen that worked and will let me know.

Hey Terri - another thought - I see your guy is only 7 months old - can you hold off a little on his rabies shot? I found Koji's immune /allergies really spiked after his rabies shot at 6 months. Or perhaps - have your vet give it to him in 2 smaller doses at least a month or more apart - if he/she would be willing. Koji was shy of many things - and also ate OTHER dogs poop (not his own - aren't I lucky :) ) the shyness I worked with him a lot - brought him to parks - to meet people, would ask them to greet Koji to help me in training him - I would tell Koji "Say HI" and let him go forward to meet the people. They would say "Hi Koji" - and when he approached them - they gave him a treat. Koji learned that if I say " Say HI" its safe - and he will probably get a treat. It made a big difference.

Hey Terri: sounds very much like Koji. He had ear problems initially - also very bad worms - took a while to get rid of them. He too had bms 5 -6 times a day. I definitely found that a raw diet helped that tremendously - but it is expensive. How old is your pup? I've been down this road, so please reach out to me - and I can share my experience with what worked for Koji and what didn't.

Nancy, Hi! My little guy has ear problems, which they say is a form of allergies. He also was "going" about 5 times a day then eating it. The food that was suggested is full of filler and we now have switched him to a natural food. Hopefully, this will help with the amount of times he goes and his ears. Koji is adorable.

Just to clarify - Koji was bred at Glen Eden Doodles by Judy Hahn; Becky, Judy Hahn's daughter in law is the person I picked Koji up from in West Friendship, Maryland. I had pet sat for a Doodle named Quaker, and fell in love with him. Koji is actually Quaker's half brother. Anybody else out there whose pup have allergy and digestion problems? Other than that, Koji is just a dream. A wonderful friend. So smart, so sweet.
