itching

Sadie started itching earlier this summer.  Vet suggests allergies.  We have tried benedryl & zyrtec but still itching.  Anyone come across this?  She is mostly licking her feet & belly.

Your vet may be right, but when I hear belly and feet, I am inclined to think of soap residue from bathing. The lower half is the area that is most likely not thoroughly rinsed. I would also suggest changing shampoos.

The lower half is also the area that comes in contact with "things" the most so as a second step, I would consider areas where Sadie is resting most frequently and see if there are any potential "things" she is laying on that could make her itchy.
