Hi everyone!
I am happy that there are so many signed up for the Pacific Northwest Doodles!
I know that we have completed profile sections, but how about getting to know each other a bit better?
I'll start...
I am Jacque Reynolds, I breed Labradoodles, Goldendoodles and North American Retrievers. Our business name is Back Porch Labradoodles of California.
My husband and I live on 26 acres in Oroville, California and we have welcomed ten adult dogs and many, many puppies into our ever-growing family of Doods!
In fact, I have recently established a non-profit corporation to provide Doodles as service dogs to children and adults in need. I will officially announce the "kick-off" when we get our web page up and running!
When we settle in, I'd love to set up a Doodle Romp for our area...I hope that you will join us!
Now, about me personally; I am in my late 50's but recently graduated from law school (as a birthday gift) and I am a mediator, teaching online mediation courses. Now, with the Back Porch Labradoodles and our new service dog business, I am keeping pretty busy!
I am looking forward to building new friendships through Adina's DoodleKisses group!
Jacque
Hi, Jacque! I am very proud of you for completing law school! That is a major accomplishment for sure! I hope your service organization takes off and is very successful!
Hey, Judy, it was a fun venture! I don't really want to be an attorney, but law school was a kick! It was certainly a ton of work, but what a thill on graduation day...just after my 55th birthday! ;o)
Hi, I'm a breeder as well, but a little smaller than you!
I've got one breeding female (www.harlowlabradoodles.com), and we're based in Seattle. We're going to hold back one other female, but can't get any bigger since we don't have enough land to support a large number of dogs. It's been hard work, but more meaningful than anything else I've done (I'm a program manager in my day job). Our pups have gone to local homes, and as far east as Ohio. My husband and I decided if we got a litter of 8+ pups, we would donate one as a service dog. Two pups from a former litter are enrolled in therapy-dog programs, and one is already being used in the office by her owner, who is a psychologist. Coming from a family deeply involved in healthcare, it makes me so happy that my pups are becoming more than just great pets.
I joined Doodle Kisses since I can't get my girl out much due to the risk of disease, and I miss talking to other dog-lovers...specifically doodle-lovers!
I'm a birth and postpartum doula, postpartum educator, happiest baby on the block educator and live outside of Seattle, WA. I have been supporting women in through childbirth for 14 years. It is my passion (okay, along with my dog :)
I have been with my partner for 21 years and we have one goldendoodle (we'd have more if I had my way)
My guy drives busses for Metro King County.
I love to swim and we love to fly fish.
We try to make the monthly doodle romps at Magnuson but seem to make fewer than we attend.
I am Margie Sheeley. I am the proud owner of Buddy. Buddy turned one on the 17th of this month. He is my heart and joy. I am also looking forward to making new friends through DoodleKisses. I hope I will learn some things on what works and what doesn't work in regards to grooming tools, training and just plain stuff. haha I hope to meet ya all!! Good to be here.
Hello..................I have a labradoodle that is 10 months old. She's awesome, check out her photo's. I got her from a breeder, Judy Albertson that is also a member of the PNW doodles. I would like to find any romps that might be happening in the next couple of months? Does anyone have any info?
