Has anyone bought/used this software tutorial? I am considering it--I was looking for some good photography reference books and came upon this. I didn't really want interactive software but I tried the demo and it seems pretty good . . . It's $49 or the download and $59 for the download plus CD . . .
I know nothing about it. I use the old Photoshop 7.0 but it's not cheap!!!! Just be sure if you buy software on line always buy the CD as well. That way you can put it on your laptop as well as your PC or what ever you use. And if you should buy a new computer you can install it. Also, sometimes the software crashes and you need to reinstall.
I did most of my reading/learning utilizing my tax dollars :) at the Library! You'd be surprised how much they have there regarding digital photography, photoshop, etc. Most libraries also have a program where if they don't have a specific thing you want, they can get it from another library for you or they will order it. I went on Amazon, made a list of all the books I wanted to read, and took that to the library!
I haven't tried this one, but you're bound to pick up lots of handy tips. I read a review on it that said to be sure to follow the directions and take it a step at a time. (Good advice for just about everything in life.) I bought a rather pricey Photoshop CS2 tutorial a couple years ago. I think it was around $250. It had about 9 DVDs - waaaaay too much of a good thing. I only made it thru a couple. Maybe one of these days I'll go back to it - but probably not.
Yikes!!! That is pricey!!! I am fortunate to have the CS4 master suite. I have not bought any photoshop tutorials and have always had great lucj finding online tutorials. I'm still not sure about the 123 di package--primarily, I think because it is online . . . there is so much available online already, I kind of want something I can sit on the couch and browse through in the evening or whenever . . .
