What is so funny about this shot is I had now idea there was a dove involved until I belew the photo up on the computer!! When we are up at the lake and Dakota is in a happy, rompy mood, I just drop to my butt and start clicking!!! Out of 50-100 shots, I may only get half a dozen with potential but sometimes you get a real keeper!!!!
How about something to play with different lighting...indoor vs. bright sunlight..etc. I'd like to use lighting or make use of what's available better ...etc.
Fabulous shot!!! I did write to Mandy. Let's give her a few days and if we don't hear from her maybe Adina will put her suggestion into an actual assignment.
Oh wow...what a shot. I wish I had access to wide open country because Gracie Doodle just loves it. We need to drive for about 45 minutes to get to it. Then I need to find the bird!!!!! Love, love, love the picture!
How about ISO and lighting stuff?? Doesn't ISO enter into shutter speed and lighting...sort of like...they all need to come together correctly?
Yup!! ISO and shutter and aperture all work together--it would be good to try several combinations.
Our wide open country is at our Eagle Lake vacation house which is a 5 hour drive for us!!! Sooo, it is more than a weekend trip--I always try to tie into a holiday weekend and make at least a week of it. Dakota LOVES Eagle Lake!!!!! Oh, and we don't find the burds--they find us!!
Originally I was going to go over ISO but I think you guys are starting to explore that one on your own. I went in a different direction and stayed with compositional techniques; these will make us all better photographers, no matter what kind of camera or what settings you are are using :)
