Yes you will have to set it, and you are going to have to experiment!! That's my evil plan, I'm not giving out #s. Make shure when you post your pics you tell us what the shutter speed was! It will be recorded by your camera so all you have to do is right click on the image to get that info!
Missed the assignment last month...but today when I got home from vacation I HAD to spend some fun time with Rosco and why not involve the camera!? So here are my results--I'm including a favorite along with a slide show of others at that same speed:
1/200
1/500th
1/500 slide show
1/800th
1/800 slide show
1/1250
1/1250 slide show
1/1600
1/1600 slide show
1/2000
1/2000 slide show
Sorry so many! I was just so excited to get so many action shots that weren't thoroughly blurry!
Adina, awesome! Great job :) I'm not sure what that green stuff is under Roscoe's feet? I think I remember it being called grass, but it's been so many months since I've seen any here in Chicago, I think I've forgotten. I am so jealous!
I forgot I also took a really slow shutter speed photo of sleeping Natalie but it was, as expected a bit blurry--someday when I get a tripod I'd like to try it again.
There are some neat tripods, mini ones, by that can attach to tree limbs, stand on a table etc.I got one at Amazon, but you have to get the one for dSLR camera with a zoom if you are ever using a zoom. Joby GP3 Gorillapod SLR-Zoom Flexible Tripod for Digital SLR Cameras. This model is and is heavy duty and supposedly won't topple. Price comparison a must but compared to real tripods they are cheap--I paid about $37. I haven't tried it yet though.
Hi Adina, Welcome home!! When you took the pictures of Rosco at all those different shutter speeds did you use a tripod? Did you just keep it in one position or did you rotate it around with the handles? I have yet to use my new tripod...this weekend perhaps...but they are predicting rain again!!!!
Boy, I've tried that and Gracie is soooo fast that she has the ball before I can locate her in the viewer!!!! Ha ha. I do better when my DH throws and I shoot. This weekend if no rain!!!!!
Yes, I have one for my camera but have never used it. I guess I need to break it out this weekend and get busy...that and the tripod are toys I have yet to use!!!
I love the concept of the remote but don't you have to be in front of the camera so the remote can "talk" to the sensor? I would love to have a remote that would let me elsewhere!
