OK--the May assignment is a natural progression of what we have practiced so far and it can/should use all of your May suggestions. For our May assignment shoot the best photo you can using the proper ISO, aperture and shutter speed. Composition and effective cropping are always important! The May assignment is to use all of this but the end product will be black and white. I say the end product because the preferred method for a final black and white photo is to shoot the photo in color and then convert it to black and white in post processing using a program like Photoshop or any free online post processing program like Picasa 3. You can choose the black and white setting on your camera if you prefer but there are some disadvantages to this. I am off and running right now but I will get a good black and white intruction/tutorial up for you by tomorrow. Happy shooting!!!!!

ALSO--please include camera shooting information: A, S and ISO. I find this very helpful when I'm looking at a phot I really like . . . And for this lesson, how did you achieve the B&W image? Was it shot in B&W or did you convert it in post processing. And if you converted it, what method did you use?
