What's new for me is to be in a snowstorm over the winter holidays.  I was not in the San Francisco Bay area this year but instead in the Berkshires with my son, his family, and in-laws, who live there.  The storm featured big, wet, sloppy snow--about 8 inches of it.  This is what it looked liked with the storm in full force on the street where I was staying.
