Thanks F.  Pine trees are a 20 year crop here but these were mixed hardwoods.  They reseed with pine.  So one day the landscape will be mostly pine.  : (

Thanks DJ.  I am very lucky that across the road from my house there are unmarked graves in the woods.  The landowner marked off that area and did not sell the timber to the timber company.

What's new is 5 days of temperate weather after many wet storms and lots of flooding.  In the late afternoon, the sky has been dressed in soft wispy scarf-like clouds, and yesterday on my way home from work I photographed the clouds over a very calm lake for the reflections.
