Sorry to be so out of touch. We're up at our lake house for a week and a couple days. This has nothing to do with our July assignment but it's my newest "favorite Dakota photo" and I just wanted to share. You might see in Dakota's expression that he LOVES his lake house!!!!

I can think of nothing more fun than to have a lake house and a Doodle too! I would love to have a place like Dakota has to go to with Gracie. What a happy and carefree looking Doodle!!
Oh, this is the most fabulous photo! You got everything in it just right! How happy Dakota looks and how happy that must make you.
Fantastic photo....glad you and Dakota are having a great time!
What a fabulous picture! The natural photos in all of their tumbled selves are my absolute favorites. I guess part of the reason why my site often does not sport the 'pretty and posed' pics everyone else does ~ it is harder for my eye to get that. But these, LOVE them! Thanks for sharing.
ME TOO!!!!!! Dakota is anything BUT perfect--he is a goofy, fun loving boys that has just as much fun rolling in the mud as he does eating a bite of steak and I do love to try to capture that silly, happy side of him!!!
Ditto to all the comments. Dakota is also lucky to have a great photographer around all the time!
I agree that these photos are far superior to the posed ones but I realize that these are the hardest ones to capture and it takes a true photographer to get them. So major kudos to you, Diane.
How sweet of you to say that!! Actually, I'm sure we all use sa similar approach--I'll take 70 or 80 shots (for action like this is use the continuous sequence) and, if I'm real lucky, one will be good!!! . . .
Beautiful shot!
I LOVE it!!!! Great shot!!!
Great shot, what were your settings? Is this possibly a second July assignment or an early August assignment capturing Doodles in motion/action?
Mike
1/3200; f4, ISO 200 (this was a mistake--I carelessly left it on 200 from another shoot I did--100 would have been the max ISO needed in the type of light I was in.)

This could be either a second July assignment or August if there is enough interest. I have not even paid attention to the first July assignment . . .
