Sorry to be so out of touch. We're up at our lake house for a week and a couple days. This has nothing to do with our July assignment but it's my newest "favorite Dakota photo" and I just wanted to share. You might see in Dakota's expression that he LOVES his lake house!!!!

Thanks for the info. I have not shot at that fast of a shutter speed before, 1/1000 is about the fastest I have used. I will have to try using 1/3200. One of the ways I have been learning is I will change settings while shooting and then compare the results in editing software.

I do that a lot too . . . in this pjoto, I chose to shoot at f4 and the camera choose the shutter speed . . .

What a fantastic picture. I can imagine him nipping the tips of the stalks of whatever those growing things are out there. How fun is that!!!
