Hello all! Was curious if anyone here owns a Nikon D90? I've had mine for about three years now and still am not sure how to work the settings. I know the camera is capable of taking amazing pictures, but so far mine just come out average. I think it all comes down to the settings. I'm hoping to take some good photos of Kona once she comes home in two weeks.

Thanks!!

I moved from a D90 to a D7000 two years ago, but I still have the D90. I used that poor camera to death (and I loved it), so if you have any questions, I'm happy to try to answer them. :)

I'll send you a PM! :)

I have a D90 although I usually use a D7100 now. The D 90 can take fine photos. Keep taking lots of photos til you see what works best for you. We have lots of tutorials on different settings and there is a lot of information on the web.

Hi

I am in the process of selling my d90 and own a 7100.  the d90 is quite good. I have run it through its paces quite a bit and can answer any questions you might have.  Please feel free to send any requests.  The key in my opinion on most modern DSLR is the lens.  Additionally a good quality zoom makes the camera do amazing things.  A off camera flash like a sb700 or 910 make huge differences.  I usually recommend to most to purchase a flash before any additional lenses.

Hope this helps and don't hesitate

Tom
