Something to be said for the easy point and shoot camera's

I just bought the Nikon Coolpix S8100 and I love it. I’m a dedicated Nikon user and own a D70 & D300 which I use for work (real estate photography). Both camera’s are big and heavy for just taking on a walk or when the grandchildren are over. I’m getting great results with this little camera and great video. It also has HDR setting built into the camera i wear it around my neck when walking and never miss a shot.

Beautiful photos. There is something to be said for a slip in your pocket camera. I have a Canon Digital Elph that's at least five years, or more, old but it takes good pictures and is very convenient. You can, BTW, embed pictures right in the discussion, and these desrve to be, by Clicking on the second icon above your post and puttin in the location of the photo.

Wow, Gail! You captured these spectacular shots with a point and shoot?! You obviously have a great eye for composition, which helps immensely. :) I've considered buying a point and shoot for the convenience of it. My DLSR is quite cumbersome with my telephoto lens. I should take some outdoors pix with my iPhone 4 and see if I can get anything I'm happy with.
