Does anyone else notice that when they upload photos to DK, the color quality diminishes?

I haven't noticed. The color looks the same to me. The problem I am having is that I have a wide angle screen on my PC. So when I design my page, some of my border photos are too large for others to see. Everything looks great to me but to people with laptops they only see a small portion of the photo. It comes down to trial and error on getting my photos the correct size. It would be nice if in the page set up there was a note next to the "browse" box telling you what size photo to use.
I have a wide angle screen too, but I can set up up so my display (view) is normal size when I'm working on my photos. Have you tried that....it should eliminate the distortion.
I do know that it has to do with the size of the photo and resolution. I do most of my photos for print and therefore you need a really high quality resolution. I shoot with a fine (high quality...but not RAW) setting and then on my computer I make a duplicate of the photo and take its' resolution to 300 dpi and resize the photo to usually 4x6 and save the file as a TIFF. This size is to large to e-mail or upload to the Internet. You need to change the dpi (resolution) to 75 up to maybe 100 dpi and save it as a JPEG file. The photos I uploaded to my pages were probably Tiff or too large a file. You can tell when a file is too large because it takes forever to load! It looks OK to me on my big PC but I just looked at it on my laptop and now I see that my borders are too big. I have corrected it on my DoodleKisses page but on my DoodleWorld page my side photos are too large. I will need to fix it I guess. Also, my laptop color is so different than my PC monitor shows. Much more dull and washed out on the laptop!
