Comb/brush question

Hi!  We're picking up our puppy (Katy/Micah litter, born 5/23/16) in a couple of weeks - we're so excited!  We've been reading and reading...and reading (!) on how to prepare/care for a puppy - it's a bit overwhelming!  I've taken a look at the Grooming group, but I see several different recommendations/brands for steel combs and brushes, so I thought I'd check to see what comb and brush has been working for ABD puppies.  Thanks so much!

Congratulations! How exciting! :D. My Cooper's dad is also Micah :) These are the brushes I use. I believe someone here had recommended the brush one. Good luck to you and enjoy puppyhood!

Hi Jenny,

Congratulations on getting your first puppy!!! Almond Blossom doodles have such as sweet disposition. 

I bought a wooden brush with wooden pins (looks like this one: http://www.muttropolis.com/products2.cfm?ID=23519&Name=BASS-Woo...) for Toby and it's only brush that he actually enjoys/tolerates. 

The small wire bristle brushes make his coat too "fuzzy" looking and it seems to really hurt him when they catch on a tangle.

I also recommend buying a pair of "thinning shears" scissors from a beauty supply shop so that when you trim around his face it looks natural. :)
