I am getting my bundle of joy on 6/15 from Willow/Casey's litter. I am sooo excited. Trying to buy everything I need before his/her arrival. I am uncertain how big minis get (I know 16-25lbs) so I don't know what size crate/ex pen I should buy. For the crate, I am thinking 30" or 36" with divider panel but for the ex pen, should I get 24x30 or 24x36? I don't want him/her to jump out when she/he is fully grown. I also don't know if I should buy small or medium toys. It's hard to gauge how big things are on the internet. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Michelle,
Congrats! We have a Willow/Casey pup. She was 3.5 pounds when we picked her up and she's maxed out at 16 pounds. I would get the larger crate with a divider as you were suggesting you would do. Even though Stella's short, she does happen to be long. I would also get the larger ex pen. Get a couple of small toys and see how it goes. Even though Stella has grown she still enjoys the few small toys she didn't destroy. Buying from Amazon is great for returning things that don't quite work. Good luck!
Hi Michelle. Congratulations!!! We are in San Mateo and have Lucca who is 4 from Tula/Micah and Izzy who is 2 from Estee/Casey. My furry kids are around 50 lbs. I have many of the 30" ex pens. They never try to jump over them. We've always used them as barriers. Even now I feel very comfortable with them on our front porch with the gate (pen) up. stick with puppy size toys for awhile. Can't help with the crate as mine hated it:( Good luck and contact me when your pup has all his/her shots and can play!!!
