Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
A while ago we found out that my husband's Chiropractor is the owner of Winnie's "brother from another mother." Small world! They have the same dad, and their mothers are sisters. Duncan is 1 1/2 years old, and Winnie is almost 1 year. It's interesting to see the differences in their coloring. They tell us that Duncan was the same color as she is, and just recently his face has lightened up. He is very handsome, but I am hoping Winnie stays darker. :-) Thought you all would enjoy a picture.....

They are both gorgeous! It is fun to find a relative, isn't it?
Yes! It was fun to see how they have such similar personalities and both are kind of "clumsy" when they are chasing a ball. AND, it was nice to see that at 1 1/2 years Duncan seemed to be past a lot of the puppy/adolescent obnoxiousness! Whew- there IS hope for us.... :-)
They look really cute together! How fun to find your doodle's sibling! I see Winnie didn't inherit the blue paw gene though! LOL
LOL oh, that's a good one! And I know what you mean!!
The pink paw gene looks adorable on Winnie and it makes sense that she would get a pink gene, not a blue one!
They are both super adorable! Our little Finn who is just over 4 months old falls in between these two gorgeous doodles in his coloring! I too am hoping he doesn't go light! We regularly walk around Sail Bay in San Diego and have met several people who have doodles that started out reddish and turned champagne to nearly white! One couple have a pair of doodles that essentially switched colors! The light colored doodle went red and the red doodle went champagne! No matter what the color we will love them the same! How big is your Winnie? That is the other variable we face with doodles - how big will they get?!!!
Your little Finn looks to be very sweet! Winnie just turned a year old a month ago, and has stabilized out at 56 lbs for the past 3 months or so.
Very cute!!!!
