A couple of years ago I got serious about digital art, but I lost my mojo. This is one of my favorite. Just don't seem to have the desire to sit in front of the computer for that long anymore these days. Always considered my art to be a winter thing but thus winter I have produced nothing. Hope that's just a phase I' m going through!

I asked my dh. It was really a difficult unusual hard to remember name ! The movie is called "LadyHawke"
No wonder you don't know the movie. It is from the eighties.
Here is a link to a summary: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089457/plotsummary?ref_=tt_ov_pl
As we are, Nancie. I have a vague memory of that movie.
Very, very cool!!
Gosh, I haven't really had cause to look at my work in ages. To be able to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak...well it
puts new meaning to the enjoyment of Doodle Art.:-)
Here is another one of my favorites. This piece took a very long time on the computer. Started with a completely blank canvas/screen. Think I may have to try another go 'round at this stuff again. I am enjoying seeing everyone's art works. Really, there are so many talented people in this world ! It's a wonderful thing!
Well, you definitely have not "lost your mojo". You are just taking a little break to reinvigorate (is that a word?) and evaluate what you want to do. Completely blank canvas? Wow. I don't think I could even do that from a photo. There is so much out there with filters and textures that you can just get a photo you like and work things up from there. Amazing what we can do these days. And you are right that there are many talented people in the world and also many creative ideas. Hop in there. It is a wonderful way to spend some time.
Thanks so much Lynda. Yes you are right about the re-evaluating thing. :-) :-) :-)
Hemmmm...what do I want to do.?
I want to start deciding what i want in my 17 perennial gardens this year! It's an absolutely gorgeous day here in Central Ontario Canada today. + 9 c. We still have tons and tons of snow that has to melt yet though.
Today's weather makes me feel like spring is here...BUT it isn't. We are expecting another 15-25 cms of snow tomorrow. Gosh...enough already.
In the mean time, Miss Ivy is keeping me wonderfully busy. I just love having her to dote on and tend to. She has helped me through the February blahs and the cabin fever that usually sets in with me every winter.
As for digital art, my husband has taken over my lap top, and I have been reduced to using my android tablet, which is in no way, shape or form holds a candle to the capabilities of a laptop. This little thing is not at all conducive to being the least bit creative. And ,it's been so long since I 'be used my Corel Paint shop Pro and wacom tablet, that I might have forgotten everything!!!
It is like riding a bike - it all comes back quickly. Seventeen perennial gardens? Is that all at your house or scattered around? I have a few gardens and love planter boxes because they are so easy to put in irrigation systems, but seventeen? That definitely is enough to keep you busy. What do you plant in them? Here are a couple of photos of my garden plots. The daffodils are just coming up now. That is an artichoke plant in the box with the kids and the garden is at school. I am teaching them SFG (square foot gardening) where they learn not to waste soil, seeds, or water.
Wow....I LOVE that interesting tree in the background of your third shot!
Yvonne, your art is really wonderful! I hope you can find your way back to it...
