OH MY GOD!! We are dog sitting Rosey's BFF Ruby a 13 month old goldendoodle and I have walked her 3 times this morning and she only peed once. I just went into the bedroom and She PEED on ourBED, TWICE. OMG, OMG what do I do?? I threw the mattress pad and blanket in the wash but it is in our mattress. DH IS GOING TO KILL ME!!! I
YES! Lynda! Great idea... the Sham Wow.. I love them... we too use them on tori after it rains too, or if I need to wash her paws off. (I don't do baths unless absolutely necessary, I'm not good at getting her mats out before she dries- lol)
OKAY - What a FUN afternoon this has been. I mean it's 70 degrees, sunny and breezy here in MI and lucky me I didn't have to bear a minute of it, well except the 3 times I took Ruby out to pee and she didn't. I put NM on the spot twice, which kept spreading in diameter btw. I put vinegar & water solution on it, Blowed it Dry for an hour, that was the funnest part. (no shamwow in the house) then I sprinkled baking soda on it (I got to use that old parmesean cheese shaker I had been saving for two years so that is good right??) And I am letting it sit for an 1 1/2 hours then I am going to vaccum it and then I am going to make the bed. God willing DH will never know. LUCKY for him it's on my side of the bed:) I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow!!
A GLASS?? It's going to take a lot more than that:) I am already on it, I mean it's 5:00 somewhere right?? BTW I decided to not tell Ruby's mom, I really don't know 100% that it was her, and she is 8 mos pregnant and supposed to be keeping her blood pressure down for health reasons. And we are scheduled to watch Ruby when she goes into labor. So, I will just have to change the rules when she is here... I mean make rules because R&B don't really have any:)
Absolutely, Suzann. It's always 5 o'clock in Margaritaville, which is why I just might get the blender going early myself. I really hope your DH doesn't come home tonight and tell you what a tough day he had at work.
Drinking it right from the bottle sounds good to me, too.
Suzann, do you have one of those rubber mattress covers in the house? If not, I'd borrow one for the next time Ruby comes to visit, just in case.
Perhaps, I will get one of those mattress covers, I might have a hard time explaining the why of that to DH but I am suare I can think of something. I am also thinking about getting one of those camel packs that you wear like a back pack and it has a little straw that you can just walk or sit around a drink your beverage:)
DH won't even know it's on the bed, unless he's the one who changes the sheets, lol.
Maybe they aren't rubber...they're water-proof and have one side that's like flannel and rubberized on the other side? Am I dating myself? They used to tell you to put one on your mattress before you went into labor...back in the stone age.
I know them well, Karen. They're pretty hard to find these days. I did find one that I make my son take when he goes to Camp for his bed there. I have visions of "bedbugs", and for some reason I feel better thinking there's some protection between him and that gross Camp mattress. My guess is that the Counselors who make his bed never even use it (and they probably have a real good laugh), but I feel better.
