I just love black! Nothing quite like their glossy coats. I have this little mini fella right now. I usually have some black puppies from my black and silver phantom girl.
It is a shame they are not easier to photograph because it never does them justice!

Mine was black when I first got him ,he is now almost 5 months old and his under coat is silver it started with a few white hairs and now it goes all the way up his neck, its looks like when your growing your color out,his head is still black, his mother was silver father was brown.I am wondering what color he will be when his adult coat comes in ! also im findind tuffs of hair all over after the groomer brushed him out real good ,his hair is looking a bit dull and lifeless, any suggestions?
Hi, mine is black with a little brownish/silver in the undercoat and around his mouth. You can only see it in the sunshine. He is also five months old. He is going to the groomers for the first time this weekend. I am having trouble cutting the hair around his eyes and the left one seems a bit irritated--the curls go in towards it.

Because it is almost summer and this eye issue, I am thinking of getting him cut pretty short all over--basically close to the skin around his eyes, leaving his upper muzzle and tail longer, and everything else about an inch long. Does that sound like it would look okay?

I guess I should repost this in the grooming section.

As for your doodle's dull look, have you tried spaying him with water and scrunching his hair? Maybe adding a little oil to his food?
I will try the oil and hope it works,I thought by feeding him the real good food that it would do the trick,i feed him Blue Buffalo its all natural,I sure hope this isnt forever,His tail is sooo thin now it looks like he had chemo, i dont know if its all that brushing out of the old hair or not!!!!!
