New Black Doodle Family!
Hi, Everybody:
just wanted to introduce our new doggie to the group. We got her yesterday - she's half lab, half poodle. Very, very nice black, shiny, wavy, crushed velvet! She's 7 months old and I have no idea how big she'll be. She weighs 33 lbs now... I wonder how much more we can expect her to grow. She's much bigger than we were planning to get, but this lady couldn't keep her any more (change of family lifestyle, she said) and wanted to sell her, we visited, everybody in my family really liked her... so here we are, day 2 today! Her name is Cassie. She seems to be a really good doggie. She didn't even cry for her old family, which really surprised us! She does have a little of that doggy smell. We had her ears cleaned today, and gave her a bath. It's better, but not completely gone. The grooming lady said that Labs do have the doggy smell, so it's either that she inherited it, or it might be the ears. You can only smell it when you hug her, so it's not anything terrible.
That's all for now. We live in WA State.

Hi Maya and Welcome Cassy, I have an 8 month old black doodle who is also Cassie just spelled different. My Cassie is 50 lbs and the vet says she will probably be between 75 and 90 big span. I'm sure your new family member will do just fine. Doodles are the best not that I'm prejudice but as you already know they just REALLY REALLY ARE !

Congratualtions on the new addition to your family. I"m sure she'll adjust and do just fine. Have you ever had dogs before?
Have the groomer show you how to keep her ears clean to keep the infections away, just in case. Best of luck, Eva -

Welcome, Cassie! Black doodles rock! (Okay, I'm a bit biased as the Mom of a gorgeous black goldendoodle, myself.) It sounds like you have a great addition to the family. I hope she continues to adjust well. Sounds like she's a lucky dog! Don't worry about the size. Mazie is big. The breeder guessed she would be around 60-65 lbs.but she is 85-90 at 18 months old! It's just more doodle to love, in my opinion!
