So have you read any of the Odd series by Koontz? They are fun and quick reads. I think they are along the line of Ghost Whisperer, the TV series (which I am also addicted to). Koontz was so entranced with Trixie, his golden, that he really mourned her death. I was actually in communication with him at that time and suggested checking out goldendoodles, but he got another retriever.
Do you KNOW Dean Koontz? He's one of my all time favorite authors!
No yet. I will be heading down to the bookstore during my lunch hour today ;)
Me too! Tight now I am reading Mr. Murder and I can't read it right before I go to sleep. But I did get up at 4:00 this morning to start reading again. It seems to be like a Pepsi. If I drink one in the evening it will keep me up. Can't sleep with a Koontz story or a Pepsi after dinner.
I'm currently reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. And when I'm done with that, I plan to re-read Born to Run by Christopher McDougall.
Just started a new (old) Koontz book "The Key to Midnight". Loved Hosseini books (I only know of two) and the Odd series by Koontz are fun. Julie, if you like dog books, try "Lost and Found" by Jacqueline Sheehan and "A Dog's Life" by Ann Martin. Quick reads and delightful.
Thanks for the recommendations. I will be sure to check these out. Another one of my fav dog books is "Dog Years: A Memoir" by Mark Doty.
Haven't heard of that one either. I'll be sure to check it out. And of course there is "Marley and Me", the book and the movie. I liked them both and my mom is reading the book now.
I have re-read "Marley & Me" quite a few times. My DH would give me an incredulous look each time I laughed out loud, or sobbed silently while reading it.
Are you liking the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? I just bought it today.
Yes, I really like it. I think it's the first in a trilogy, so I'll probably read the other two when I'm finished with this one.
Just finishing up a second book on the Yukon Quest:

Yukon alone:the worlds toughest adventure race

Running North: a Yukon adventure was a really great read also. I love anything that has to do with dogs whether it is stories about them, training methods of them, or how their little minds work :)

I also have a few photography books checked out from the library for reading during tv commercials lol.
The art of seeing : a creative approach to photography / [written by Derek Doeffinger].
and others that were really great from the library but the names escape me.

My absolute favorite author is Diana Gabaldon and her Outlander series. Every time a new book is released I will go back and start from the first book, these are huge books too, I can never get enough.

I am very eccletic in my reading, don't usually do science fiction, but Anthon Pierces' Incarnations of Immortality is extrodinary! I've also read all of the James Herriot books and could read them over and over again :) Some people look at me strange when I say I reread books, but it is no different to me than rewatching a great movie or tv show......
