I liked it (Fall on Your Knees) but it is not the book for everyone. If you are looking for an entertaining book, this is not it. I felt a little bit like a "man hater" after reading it, but it was a good book for me. I'm strong, but it is amazing what happens within families.
Everyone I know who is reading this trilogy say it's fascinating. I listed this article, which I did read, about the author earlier. The author's life is fascinating too.

Finished that, and now I'm reading "The Girl Who Played With Fire." Have you see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo movie? It's in Swedish, so it's subtitled, but I heard it was good. Apparently they are going to make an American movie version soon, too.
I just put that in my netflix queue! Having a bit of a hard time getting through the third book though.
Why was that--but don't give too much away. Thanks.
Just half way through the first book and now I'm "captured". People told me I needed to line up the next two and I think I do.
I read the first book (Dragon Tattoo) over a weekend and now at the final few chapters of the second book. If you enjoy crime stories and mysteries, this series is a MUST READ!

The film is good too, it follows very very closely to the original story.
Has anyone else read "Alex and Me" by Irene Pepperberg? It's the nonfiction account of a researcher and her work with a grey parrot. It'll have you thinking differently about what animal minds are capable of, that's for sure! Amazing what she learned about the bird's ability to understand communication and concepts...anyone interested at all in animal cognition would like it. A pretty quick read I'd say.
I just finished it. It's amazing!
I'm reading "The Art Of Racing In The Rain", by Garth Stein, an author from Seattle, WA. The novel is written from a dog's perspective, and is very moving, humorous in spots, and heart gripping.
I really liked that one!
Is that book sad? If the pet dies in the end, I cannot and will not read it. I can't take it. I am a softy.
