groomers in CT

We have not found a good groomer who can handle the varying coats Chili has since our excellent groomer retired over a year ago... I have had to resort to just having him shaved,..sad he is such a handsome boy

Any one have a groomer they recommend in CT?

i have this same question! i refuse to have my doodle shaved and/or drop him off all day at a groomer.

I highly recommend Nichole at Doggie in the Window in Simsbury.  They do an excellent job whether you want your dood shaggy or shaved.  I keep my Molly shaggy and she always comes back looking great, even when I just have her bathed.  They don't require you to keep them there all day.  I usually drop her off first thing in the morning and she's done a couple of hours later depending on how busy they are.  They have a lot of customers that are doodles so that definitely helps. 

 

They also have a great environment for doggie daycare and boarding.  I was so nervous leaving Molly the first time but she LOVES it there because they are playing all day and are almost never in crates unless they are eating or sleeping at night.

We have been using Dana's Natural Dog in Brookfield on Fedral Road.  She is a cage free place so she works on one dog at a time by appointment.  You drop off and pick up when they are done.
