I'm fairly new to this site.

My doodle, Keira has a wavy coat and is caramel coloured; 6 yrs old in Feb 2011.  Wonderful, smart, friendly, docile, easy going yet high energy.

Loves walking, chasing frisbee and large sticks (4' to 5' long).

Keira is a real beauty. Where in the province is Otter Lake? Our place in on the Bruce Peninsula on Georgian Bay in Ontario. Our place is seasonal only, so is closed up right now. Looking forward to April already to return. Does Keira like to swim?

Our place is about 40 minutes north of Shawville Qc which is about 45 minutes west of Ottawa. Door to door home to cottage is an hour and 1/4. Not bad. We're going up today for 2 nights; the final visit alas - we can't access the cottage by vehicle when there's lots of snow. The cottage is well insulated and heated and we do visit 3-4 times per winter but have to walk in a bit with all our provisions; no running water either during freeze up - but we sure do love it.
If you Google 157 Blaskie Rd, Otter Lake, QC you get a decent shot; our place is the open area between 2 islands. The cottage wasn't yet built when the satellite photo was taken and the road was freshly built. That's why the landscape looks so barren; its quite "greened up" again since we've made great efforts to shore things up with plenty of planting. The area is very sandy, therefore prone to erosion.
