Has anyone ever seen or heard about the book called "DogWear: Over 30 Super Easy Sewing Projects" by Mette Syrstad Hoydal. It sounds promising, but I haven't had an opportunity to look at it to see if it has good ideas and helpful information in it. If you own this book, or have seen it, let us know what you think about it.
But you can wash that too. You can easily wash a twin comforter at home or a skimpy bigger one. You could even cut an old or cheap one in half, sew up the edges in any fashion and wash them even more easily. Even Jack should fit on a bed that's half full size for example.
I do, I have to wash it all the time because of his allergies. That's why I thought the duvet would be easier, because I wouldn't have to run the washer & dryer for just one item like I do with the comforter.
