Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I made up 2 costume last night. They are both super easy. No sewing skills required!
* Witch ---- I used the sweater we already had. Bought black and Orange tulle 20 inches each, cut them into approx 10" x 15" strips, gather one end and tacked onto the sweater at the edge.
This can be a Princess, Ballerina, Cheerleader, etc... depends on what kind of sweater you have/use. For the hat, I used 2 pieces of felt. Trace the cake plate on one and cut it out to be used for the brim. Make the second piece of felt in to the cone shape, stitch up the seam and cut off the excess felt a the bottom of the cone shape. Glue the cone to the brim, glue some decorative stuff if you have them.
* Hula Girl ----- For the bras, get a T-shirt type material matching your doodles color. Cut it into a shape of Knuckle band aid. :-) This material shoud go around the doodle's chest and have some left to be tie together. Take Hawaiian flower lei a part, and glue flowers on to the middle of the knuckle band aid material. So, now it should look like flowers in the middle with 4 strips hanging out. A pair will be tied around the doodle's neck, and other pair will be tied the the chest.
For the head piece, just take a left over material from the bras, may be 12" long and 2" wide, glue some flower in the middle. You can just tie it around doodle's head.
Grass Skirt -Cut the store bought grass skirt shorter, and glue the left over flowers at the waist.
I saw a cream color wavy fur like material while I was at the store. I thought Charlie can be a parti doodle next year for Halloween wearing a jacket made out of that material!!
