My mini LD is 7 months old.  Whenever we return home he gets so excited he jumps and pee's often on your shoes.   We let him out of crate and run him outside and he still has this problem.  This happens almost every time.  Any suggestions are welcome.

This sometimes happened with our 15 month old mini ALD as well. He just got so excited that he sort of "forgot". We usually just pick him right up the minute we come through the door and bring him outside without showing any emotion that could increase his level of excitement...that usually avoids it. I could be wrong, but I don't think there's any specific training that you can do to prevent it. I think as he gets a little older it will take care of itself (hopefully). Good luck!
I wonder if this is something that happens with mini's. He can hold it for a long time. So I don't think it is biological problem. He gets so excited and jumps up and zooms. The minute you pet or touch him he pee's. I sure hope he will outgrow it. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Thank you for your suggestion.
I didn't have this trouble but when our pup was little and crated overnight, we carried him outside when we first got him out in the morning. Perhaps this would help.
I have a a year and a half old mini, but haven't had this particular problem. (FYI: We didn't crate train him, although I wish we had.)

I think I read somewhere that it helps if you don't make a big deal about leaving the house (which adds to their stress) OR coming home. When you come in the door, instead of rushing to the crate, gushing "Hello, baby! We're home!" resist the urge to say anything at all, and simply go hang up your coat, check your phone messages, etc, and then open the crate and don't make a big deal out of it.

I don't know if I could do this (ha!) but it might be worth trying.
