Lick his or her feet, swallowing air making them bloated (and gassy!)?

It might just be my very weird doodle, but I think she gets bored and starts licking the pads of her feet. She manages to ingest so much air that her abdomen is visibly bloated. I measured her around the widest part of her chest once after one of these licking episodes and it was 4 inches larger than usual. I can't imagine having 4" worth of gas in my tummy - and I'm three times Bindi's size! I'm worried about the stomach flip thing.

Has anyone else seen a similar habit? The only thing I've been able to do so far is to spray her feet with that bitter apple spray.

I'll have to take a couple of pictures and post them the next time she does it - it was terrifying the first time!

I've never measured Leo but he certain does the licking thing.....with us and himself. Every morning he licks my hand before I am out of bed. It would be as long as I let him. He also licks his feet. I try to keep his hair shaved close in between the pads. This has kept alot of seeds, burrs and things....from sticking to that area. He also bites his nails if they are too long! I keep them as short as I can also.
