Advice for Murphy’s First Cut

I need advice for a first haircut on my F2 GD, Murphy! He will be 8 months at the time of his appointment  and I’m so nervous! I have never had him cut other than a sanitary trim. His facial hair is just now starting to grow in and he is losing his puppy coat so I’m not sure what to do, mainly because I don’t know what type of coat he has! It’s so curly and feels more wirey, but is super soft closer to his skin and all in his chest/belly. Please help!

Hi Hannah! Best thing is to get recommendations for a good groomer who is experienced in goldendoodles. As long as Murph is not matted, there's no need to shave him down. A good groomer will discuss with you what kind of a cut you are looking for. If you'd like his hair a little shorter let them know. I like Roxy with an allover look, not poodled. You can also bring a picture of a cut you like. I'm sending a picture of Roxy and a diagram of a doodle cut for you to check.

I just got mine groomed but he’s only 4 months only so we only did face, feet, and sany cut I told her I still wanted him fluffy and to just cut around the eyes
