We took Gaston-Cramer to be groomed for the first time today. We've used this groomer before on our maltese and they've done a fabulous job. Gaston went to the groomer without a mat in him but had been sorely in need of a bath having been neutered two weeks ago and unable to have a bath for that length of time. So this is what you get if you ask them to trim around the eyes a wee bit(which they did but they also trimmed his head!) and round out the feet (which did come out fabulous!). You get a 50 pound BICHON!!!!!!!!! LOL I can't wait for it to rain so I can get my doodle back! LOL For those that have seen photos of Gaston on My Page you'll appreciate the humor in his grooming! It's sooooooooooooooo not him! LOL Just thought I'd share! LOL

*I just wanted to add an edit...or actually a question....does anyone else see this photo as really long and stretched out or is just my computer? Lately some photos have been coming up perfectly for me and others are "stretched" like this one. If it's stretched I apologize and you'll just have to use your imagination and invision a 50 pound bichone! LOL

Halas is always extra poofy right after a grooming. The look Gaston-Cramer is giving you is priceless! And the photo doesn't look stretched to me.
The photo looks good to me to. The 50# Bichon. How funny. Fergie comes back looking like that too. DH makes her jump in the water so she dries off by herself. The dryer's they use really make them look goofy. I think Gaston-Cramer looks just beautiful.
So it's the dryers that do this? Just how powerful are they! Yikes! My husband laughed sooooooooooo hard when he saw Gaston-Cramer and he too couldn't wait for him to get wet! LOL I guess a 50# bichon is not their idea of macho! LOL
Thanks Ladies....then that means my computer has gremlins! LOL

and yes Leslie that look in his eyes IS priceless! He is soooooooooooo not amused! LOL
Your picture looks fine to me. It isn't stretched out at all. I think you can get your Doodle back sooner if you just mist him with water. Mine comes home like that and the next day she has her usual waves back. She is not a curly but a wavy coated Goldendoodle. Don't' you usually round out the feet? I prefer the straight puffy legs with rounded feet. When they are wet they look like sticks. I hate to see knuckles or toe cleavage!! lol I think he looks beautiful. I guess I had better go check out your page to see what is is really supposed to look like. I do know that if I brush my Gracie backwards I can get this look but it doesn't hold much more than a day!

And because of that softness I let him suffer looking like that for one night so I could snuggle with him! LOL

After coffee this morning it was into the shower with Gaston! Dang it took FOREVER to get the water to soak really well into that fluff!!! He's now back to being goofy Gaston-Cramer, our curly mop! He's thrilled and so are we.

Here's a photo of him wet as a sponge as he got out of the shower. You can just see he's soooooooo much happier! LOL He'll dry to his old self in no time.!

Yes, that is the look of a happy doodle :) LOL
Oh he is rather fluffy, yes he does look like a 50lb bichon but still very hansom and the name is fabulous where did you get it from it sounds so posh
Thanks Donna :). Our children came up with his name. Our daughter picked the first name and our son picked the middle and the rest is history. When he gets into mischief he's called "GC"! LOL
My picture is long and stretched out too. Don't know how to correct it. Is there a chance?
Hi! I'm Susan, New to the group. I can soooo relate to your grooming experience. I started to spritz Dublin with a water bottle. Not very effective but somewhat improved.
