I couldn't see her eyes with all the thick hair so I scissored it last night. But now her muzzle is huge!
What can I do to thin it out?

First of all she looks cute. But you could try cutting the muzzle shorter but in a doodle not poodle shape. I bought thinning shears for Calla's face because her hair is quite straight on her face and it looked awful with regular shears. The thinning shears help a lot with her but I don't know how they'd do on a curly doodle. Everyone in this group warned me to get good ones so I spent about $70 for Gators by Ed Geib. If you get them be careful because if you use your fingers to remove the hair that collects in them it's very easy to nick yourself.
WTD? You have no snow on the ground. No fair. As for her face--Cute as a button and I have no idea how to groom a face. Have you seen my dog lately? NO. That is because I groomed him. You will see no pictures. Good Luck A

I have heard it is best to do the face with thinning shears--but the ones I would like to purchase are 175.00 so too bad for me.
I would just leave it. It could look worse and I think it's pretty cute!
A. must have shoveled. I still have some snow on the ground.
She looks like she has the Doodle Mumps!! It is too thick (like my thighs but that I will leave to another discussion).
Not sure if clippers with comb is what needs to be done. Too afraid to find out without expert opinions!

Snow has slowly vaporated with the little bit of sunshine we have been getting. Ground is still frozen solid.
Do dogs get mumps? They do have salivary glands. See how one thing leads to another. Far from an expert but I vote no clippers or as Joanne would say"No clippers, no clippers, no, no."
Dogs can get the mumps from people. who would have thunk. you learn something everyday.

No NO NO clippers. I took the advice of my DK experts and only scissor cut. But I did hear that thinning shears are best for the face,

I agree with Kendra--she is just too cute and leave the way she already looks. I used to worry about Spud's thick face but-------- I spend a lot of time cutting out pieces of long stick anyway. So I thin on a daily basis just by trimming what I call are his natural toothpicks.
After further study--it may be her head is too short for her cheeks. Let the top grow out and don't worry about her mumps
Maybe she should wear a hat?
So cute!! She looks a little like a character on sesame street :P
I think she's pretty. Besides their hair grows soooo fast, even when I cut something too short or uneven you don't see after a few days. Her hair will grow on the top of her head and she'll even right out! She's adorable!
