Chaucer gets shaved down

Oh, it was so painful to have it done..I absolutely LOVED his puppy coat.. but the reality was with all the hiking/camping we have been doing lately he was just so miserable!  So, I took him to the groomer and told her to shave it all off!

 

I was worried he would look goofy but I still think he's adorable!  We went hiking yesterday and he seemed much more comfortable!  I am looking forward to his coat growing back..hopefully by the time it does it won't be as hot outside.

Ahh, Chaucer looks so handsome - so shiny!!  I love it!  My boy, Bentley, is going for his first cut in a couple of weeks, when he is 5 months old.  How old is Chaucer?  I also love his long puppy hair but think it will be easier/cooler for all of the outdoor play this summer.  I do want him to keep his doodle look though...
