We are getting ready to do a small remodelling project in order to make it easier to wash/groom the dogs at home. We are going to be getting a large dog tub and this is the one I'm considering. Anyone have any experience with this?
Like minds think alike. I just told hubby yesterday that the desk I currently use as a computer desk would be perfect for a grooming table. I had been sort of designing one in my mind for him to build and it was very similar to our current computer desk (and I want new den furniture anyway if there is money left over from the room remodel). I think it will work in the new room because they like something that they can get underneath and they would be able to get under this desk so it would serve a few purposes. It too would be up against the wall and I'd have to turn them, but I normally end up doing that anyway where I groom them now. It also has some shelves on the end where I could store my stuff.
How funny is that! I am fairly sure the metal desk we use is a computer desk. A neighbor gave it to us in perfect condition. It does have a plug outlet hole in the bottom and two open shelves, no drawers. We have been using it for over a year and it has served the purpose of a grooming table quite well. The height is comfortable for me, and the slight overhang on the edge is perfect for the grooming arm. The rubber mat for her not to slip on was the only thing I felt necessary to add. She jumps up on it without any hesitation with the mat on it, without it, she was slipping. It has worked out well for us.
I'm so interested to see what you decide. My husband and I have talked about adding a dog tub in our home too. I love bathing Timbow between grooming, but it's too hard in the regular tub. Let us know how your search goes! :-)
Will do. Right now I'm waiting on the rep to call me back with the shipping costs for the Edemco F650. The factory must have been closed last week so I hope I get it ordered this week. This one to me looks the most like a regular utility room sink (just in case we ever needed to sell the house). I've moved like 35 times in my life, so I'm always thinking resale! P.S. Are you guys still celebrating that Sugar Bowl win?
We are always thinking of resale too. We love our house, but will probably start looking for another when we decide to have human kids. :) We are very excited about our Sugar Bowl win, but wish we were playing next week for the National Championship. -- It was great to see Tebow go out with such a huge win though. :)
