How long does a bad cut take to grow out !!

My doodle went in for a little trim and they scalped him. I am sick to my stomach

I am for home grooming. I struggled at first but I am fairly happy with the results. I am beginning to have hip trouble so have to get off the floor. I was used to just sitting down and taking lots of time to groom out the mats before cutting. I am ordering a grooming table so I am going to give that a try. I would love it if someone can give me a good tip on a cream rinse.

Has it grown back at all? We have been in Rome for 11 days and my one year old was so matted, the groomer said she had to shave him. She said she was hurting him trying to get the knots out.  She usually grooms him great.   He looks so funny with a fluffy head and a shaved body.  I am NOT happy.

I hope he will look better in a month..let me know.
