Okay Ladies, I am ready to bite the bullet and get a Les Pooches Brush for Rosey. There are a few different ones I see, so how do I choose.  Can I use the same one for Bandit?  He never mats...yet.  But I want to let Rosey's hair grow longer so she needs a better brush.

Her coat F1B definately more curly than wavy.  She tends to mat in the neck area..

Also, any suggestions on where to purchase on? I saw some on ebay?

Yes, Kemp helped me pick out the perfect brush for my pooch. I also bought it through him. Very helpful.
I bought a similar brush at Pet Edge for about $10.00. It looks like the other brush and my groomer recommended
it. It works fine for our needs. It might be a good way to see if this type brush works for you and your dog. There are
several different ones to choose from, we ended up with two, the firm one and the soft brush, which our very curly haired
Mitzi prefers. Good luck with whatever choice you make.
Kemp also helped me choose. I also have the similar slicker brush from Pet Edge. The manufacturer is MGT. It has the bent 'tines' on only one side which makes the straight tine side useless. The MGT brush is totally adequate if your dogs have a less poodely coat or shed - like my Clancy. I looked at your dogs' pictures and they look like they have thicker curlier coats - more like my Ned. I would recommend that you get the LesPouchs with Kemp guiding you as to which one. When Ned was a pup, we used the green one, but graduated to the purple one with his dense adult.
Thank you for the info, Nancy. I was wondering if there was a true difference between the L.P. brushes and
the Petsedge brushes. I asked once before and did not get an answer. Another question I have for you is what
exactly is the difference, since you have used both types. Are the bent tines thicker or rounded at the tips?
I have been curious to try one but have held off. We use both the firm and the soft. Mitzi does have thick, curly poodly type hair which, at almost three years old, still matts a lot, possibly because we can't keep her out of the pool.!!
I finally gave in and bought Sonny the green Les Poochs brush. Sonny is wavy around his body, curly around his neck and straighter around his head and face. I have a Chris Christensen one and a few others and I have to say by far the LP is the best. I wouldn't hesitate, wish I didn't wait so long. ( Sonny still hates being brushed, combed etc... but this one works the best)
I just got the red Les Pooches brush - I called their New York toll free number 800-745-4512. They were very nice and can help you find the right brush.
thank you Jane! I will definately be writing down that number anc calling them.
Thank you everybody for the comments about the Les Poochs brushes.
I'm available to help you any time choose the right LP brush variety for your doodle.
