Beck is almost 6 months old, poor baby can't see anymore and I am not sure I want to play groomer. I had him groomed 2 months ago, but the lady who did it made him look like an owl (I think she trimmed too much hair over his eyes) and he had a sort of poofy top to his head which was weird. I downloaded a PDF file here with instructions for the groomer, but I'm not sure those will really explain to the groomer what I want.
1. How do I explain what to do with his face?
2. His 'fur' is really like hair and is not tight tight curls but I guess he has a wool coat? I brush him a few times a week and he hasn't had any matts. His fur is about 4" long should I have them trim it down?

Here's a picture hopefully it will give you an idea of what he looks like right now

I took Beck in and had him groomed today, I think the groomer did a nice job, but the top of his head doesn't look right to me, she said just spritz him down with water and it will look better- does that sound right? If you can think of anything I should tell her to do different next time I would appreciate any advice you can offer

Try wetting his head and let it dry on its own. Hard to tell from the picture so my question is - did they shave above & below his eyes? I just take a scissor and snip the hair between Samantha's eyes.
I think she did a great job on his body and legs. He looks great!
No, she didn't shave above his eyes, she scissored below his eyes and slightly blended that into the rest of the muzzle, she said if it was too long I could bring him back and she would trim it shorter
I wet him down some & I think he looks alot better:

He looks great. Halas is always extra poofy after a grooming, too, just like Beck in your pics from yesterday.
Yeah! I like this shaggy look. He looks great. I want to print out his picture and take it to the groomer next time for Charlie!
